VAT online filing

Online filing of VAT returns required from 2010

HM Revenue & Customs are requiring more forms to be filed electronically.  Latest in these is VAT.  From April 2010, VAT returns will need to be submitted and paid online.  There is an exemption for existing VAT registered business with turnover of less than £100,000.  Penalties will apply from 2011, at rates based upon the turnover level of the business concerned.
